If you are an evacuee near a Salvation Army Thrift Store and/or can visit a Salvation Army church, ask about a thrift store voucher for clothing, personal care items, and housewares. Be sure to make an appointment and be prepared to present photo ID. The Salvation Army operates over 100 thrift stores across Canada. With 40 acres, a private beach, campers' washroom, and WiFi, the resort and campground, located 20 kilometres south of Valemount, British Columbia, is offering lodge rooms or cabins at $99/night or $500/week. Full-service campsites are available for $30.
From the Streetz Rescue Foundation invites those displaced by the wildfires to contact them if they need supplies or temporary placement for their pets. From the Streetz provides all basic pet needs during this difficult time. From the Streetz Rescue is on standby with the SPCA as teams enter Jasper to collect pets left behind.

ShellYEG is the online name of an Edmonton woman devastated by the wildfire events that have befallen the town of Jasper, Alberta. Now a medically retired web content specialist and public information officer, she has worked with such organizations as Partners in Protection, creators of the FireSmart manual; the International Association of Wildland Fire; Guidance Group; and the ministry formerly known as Sustainable Resource Development.
With education and experience in public relations, graphic design, and web content management, Shell leveraged her skills to create Help for Jasper, a single, convenient resource to help wildfire evacuees.
Before moving to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, Shell lived in Fort McMurray. Working on the FireSmart manual in the early 2000s, and also writing about the 2011 Slave Lake fire, the wildfire events of the past several years have profoundly affected her. She didn’t have to think twice about whether my skills could help, even if in a small way.
